I think as adults we 'worry' too much about the little things, most kids are just great to go anytime!

Love this little family! Beautiful children and been friends with their mom for a long time!

A Little Halloween Fun

My little Ghosts! What fun this was! The children totally got into the shoot and so did I

It turned out just as I had pictured in my head! Love it!

I love theme ideas! It gets away from a traditional family portrait.. (yes we do all need those) but I love to have some fun with them too! And a 'theme' can start with anything- the place, a pair of shoes, the perfect outfit... If you see something that inspires you- don't pass it by!

Beautiful Fall Days

I LOVE photography! I love my job.

I catch myself all the time looking a people (servers, people sitting next to me at church, people sitting next to me at restaurants, etc..) and thinking about how I would pose them, where I would want to take their pictures.. I know crazy!

Well as you can imagine, that is a major pain for my children, LOL! I frequently pull over the side of the road and they all roll their eyes and say "Not another picture"!

Okay but is this spot not gorgeous?

Love Takes Flight

This is my favorite! I caught this from behind and it was just such a gorgeous and emotional moment: 'A Stolen Kiss' I am a 'poser' but love to catch these stolen moments.

Can't you just imagine what she is saying to him? I feel like the moment right before the kiss or hug or etc.. is most meaningful and beautiful.

They were married at the landing field in Benton and the views were breathtaking! It rained on and off, but No one let that stop them. The mist, the colors- incredible!

Ha! Don't you love the rain boots? Allyson was assisting me on this wedding and these were actually her boots! Of course we had to use them! You just Never know what we will think of!

Tornado?

We were sitting in a parking lot when Cooper asked me if a tornado was coming. Well it set off a fire alarm in our car- all 3 of my children were going nuts wanting to know if this was a tornado. It looked so much like a teeny one that I took a picture out the window. It was just the way the cloud was shaped. Isn't it the strangest looking thing?

Cody was a total pro! It started to pour rain during our shoot, so I ask him if he wanted to wait it out or reschedule, his answer "No , let's get this over!" LOL! MEN! So we did and it turned out fantastic!

I love this image of him because I think he had a genuine smile. He is a really great young man!

Another Favorite because his gorgeous blue eyes pop! I always think eyes are one of the best features on most people.. I love every color and Cody has great blue eyes!

Fun! I like to shoot through things (the grass) it seems to give a hint of mystery!

Love this! Cody, you can be my model anyday!

Yesterday we went to the Hunter Museum in Chattanooga, TN. It is a really great museum and they are offering free 1st Sundays.. If you have never been it is a great time to go. I am always drawn to the 'old portraits' , I can imagine an entire story looking at the eyes of the person in the portrait. The mansion itself is great to see.
On the weekends they do crafts for kids and I did one too. :)
If you are taking children, and have never been, take note that they do have a nude statue out front: My children got a lot of giggles out of that! Ha!

Sarah Growing Up

I have had the great pleasure of knowing and seeing Sarah grow up for some

time now. She and my dd did dance together from little girls.. Now she is a cheerleader

in middle school! Amazes me to see these adorable little girls growing

into beautiful and smart little ladies. I have so enjoyed taking Sarah's portraits

every year (she has been with me almost since I began to professionally photograph).

Aren't you guys glad I keep improving myself? LOL!! Just think Sarah, by the time

you graduate I will be the best! Ha!

Monica is gorgeous!!!! Waiting the arrival of a bouncing baby boy, we did indoor and outdoor images. CAN you believe she was a week away from delivery? I loved this picture because it just captured her (the colors are vivid and bright, like her personality). She was so excited and ready for this little guy~!

I also adored this because it was so sentimental and telling of waiting on such a precious gift. I look at this image and the thought that comes to me is "Here I am , I am ready, Thank you, Lord"

We had the best time tonight. We made homemade pizzas, I put all the ingredients out and let the kids add 'the works'. They turned out fantastic and we just had fun making them..

When they were done we sampled each others pizzas (super great way to make kids try new things).

Okay, so do you think they were ready to go? Cooper has mud day at camp- we were told not to let him wear ANYTHING we wanted back (including shoes and undies) LOL! That sounds PERFECT for a little boy! Cannot wait to hear how their day goes! Me, I'm a little sick (not to worry about wedding pictures this weekend though), going to sit on the couch today and edit pictures!

Dalton Theatre Camp HSM

My oldest dd just went to theatre camp in Dalton and had the best time! They wrote their own skits, played them out.. really it was great (right down her alley)I wish you could see her eyes up close (very cute and funny

Holland HAD to have a picture made too! So outside of the theatre we snapped a VERY fast one! Some arguments are not worth the time! :)

Ballet Dress Rehearsal

Of course it would not be Holland without some silly, goofy, and crazy faces!

What will I do with her?

This is by far one of the prettiest Ballet Recitals my daughters have ever been a part of.. Last night they had the dress rehearsal so I had to share a couple of Holland in her outfit.. she dances to "whistle while you work" and it is PRECIOUS! At their age all they have to do is stand there and they are cute! Ha, hope they enjoy that!

They had been working so hard at something for a very long time ( they came in and ask me to pack a 'snack') cool-aids, apples and grapes... I grabbed my camera and followed them. They were working very hard with some limbs Shane had piled at the back of our property , from a dead tree...

Today I had the extreme pleasure of photographing sweet baby Daxton (just 10 days old)! What a Sweetie! This little guy is sure to make the girls cry! What amazing lips, eyes, and color he has. He was a perfect angel the entire session (only stopping to eat once) LOL! His mommy is gorgeous too- I love photographing this family, they make my job easy!

Well Since I have had some extra time (LOL) in January and February (always a slow time) I have been taking as many 'webinars' and classes as I can- to soak up any and all photography information out there.

My BABY turned six! :( I cannot believe it, it seems like we just brought her home in her sweet little bonnet and dress yesterday. She is such a joy!

She was so proud of her invitation- she just hoped 'everyone knew it was her doing the cartwheels" LOL!

Many of us can plan a wedding , make it beautiful- but 20 years later, how many can say "I still love you and would do it all again"? That is incredible!

What is more gorgeous than a Christmas wedding? Especially at The Opryland Hotel! Wow!

It is so beautiful there- everywhere I looked I saw a new possibility for a portrait. The Bride and Groom are just gorgeous and I so enjoyed sharing this with them.
